Very true.
One of my male friends had been corresponding a few months ago with young russian woman. First, she claimed she is from Texas, then admitted that she was from Russia. From the beginning, she claimed that she has her visa and money to come to the United States. After a week, she asked for a good amount of money and later when he did not cooperate .... about his banking account number. The guy is very wealthy man. He was laughing while telling this story to me, but it would be no laughing matter for someone who would actually follow through.
Nannette is doing great job to bring those scammers to light.

Let me tell you first hand about these Russian women. They are running some of the biggest scams on the internet. I was writing one for 6 months and ready to send $1000 for her to get here. But at the last second I had a bad feeling. I called the FBI and ask a few questions and was told that they get more complaints about Russian scam rings then any other dating problem.

Many scammers obtain photos from modeling agency websites.)
She claims to be from Russia, but used a credit card from someone else in the U.S. The phone she replied with the U.S. card was invalid. We deactivated her account and wrote to her asking for a valid phone and she has yet to reply or even ask why her account has been removed. We have had a few cases where U.S. people do pay for those out of country, so we thought we'd give her the benefit of the doubt. But so far, due to no response about being removed, we do believe she is a scammer.
She spammed this to 30 men on our site:
"Hello the stranger.
You know I yesterday has registered the structure on this site and I do not know as all
It works. I considered profile and to admit fairly your profile of me than that have intrigued.
And on this I have decided to write to you. I hope that you not against it? As I think that it would be fine
If we could get acquainted. Let you to be presented. My name is Christina. I hope that you not against
Our acquaintance. Well if my letter has interested you that you can enter contact to me
To this scammer_sherry_krisy@inbox.ru address or all of you can inform me your address and I was necessary for you
I shall answer. Well now I say goodbye. I shall look forward to hearing."
Her profile reads:
"Family & Pets: I have many words to tell but me it will seems that better if I shall inform about all at dialogue
Health or Disability: I have many words to tell but me it will seems that better if I shall inform about all at dialogue
God, Church, Devotion: I have many words to tell but me it will seems that better if I shall inform about all at dialogue
Hobbies, Activities & Entertainment: I have many words to tell but me it will seems that better if I shall inform about all at dialogue
Job, Career & Education: I have many words to tell but me it will seems that better if I shall inform about all at dialogue
What Am I Looking For? I like a smart, honest man, who has a good sense of humor. I would like to meet a man who
likes this life, enjoys it, who loves children and does want to have friendly family"
